As the nation’s workplaces become more numerous and complex, it is imperative that Occupational and Environmental Medicine professionals play an increasingly visible role in the protection of health of workers and promoting wellness within the working population. In the process these professionals may have to be advocated for the long-term health of workers and influence management to invest adequately in the protection and promotion of their most valuable asset in the workplace – their human capital!
